Ben first fell in love with the game in 2008, after he went to Orlando on holiday and caught a game. Naturally, he became a Magic fan, and with that came the immediate highs and the eternal lows. By the time he realised they were not going to be a good team anytime soon, his fandom was set.

Ben started to pick up the sport shortly after returning to the UK. He still plays today, despite being somewhat short in stature. He prides himself on his point guard play, emulating the great Penny Hardaway and his own all-time favourite player, Jameer Nelson. In fact, Ben considers himself one of the few people left in the world with a Jameer jersey.

He covered the Sheffiled Sharks in 2016 for the Sheffield Star newspaper, whilst also attending University in the city. That year the Sharks won the BBL, coincidence… he thinks not.
